Usui Reiki Ryōhō Shoden (Reiki I)
Usui Reiki Ryōhō is a Japanese spiritual practice and healing technique that makes use of Reiki, meaning “soul energy.” Reiki is a simple and easy-to-learn technique that nourishes body, mind, and soul of practitioner and client alike. It is traditionally offered via laying-on-of-hands and often has profound results. Students receive a series of reiju or initiations (sometimes called attunements) to become Reiki practitioners. Shoden is the traditional name for the first-degree Reiki training. The first degree of Reiki focuses on physical healing of the self and of others, developing energetic sensitivity, and learning the history and theory of Reiki. Shoden training includes: ● Introduction and explanation of Reiki, both the energy and the healing system ● Reiki history ● Discussion of the Five Precepts ● The Japanese Reiki techniques ● How Reiki heals ● Providing effective treatments ● Reiki meditation ● Additional tools and practices for healing Students receive: ● Comprehensive manual (Foundations of Reiki Ryoho, Healing Arts Press, 2018) ● Supplemental handouts ● Instruction in the Japanese Reiki Techniques ● Initiation (attunement) ● Hands-on practice time for self-care, one-on-one sessions, and group Reiki ● Certificate of completion ● Ongoing support from Nicholas
Usui Reiki Ryōhō Okuden (Reiki II)
Usui Reiki Ryōhō is a Japanese spiritual practice and healing technique that makes use of Reiki, meaning “soul energy.” Reiki is a simple and easy-to-learn technique that nourishes body, mind, and soul of practitioner and client alike. It is traditionally offered via laying-on-of-hands and often has profound results. The second level of Reiki expands its applications by introducing three sacred symbols to practitioners' toolkit. Second-degree training also includes techniques for amplifying hands-on practice, mental-emotional healing, and absentee healing. Students are guided through a deeper understanding of Reiki practice with even more of the original Japanese techniques and will learn the history and context of the original symbols of the system of Reiki. Okuden training includes: ● Brief review of shoden concepts ● In-depth presentation on three symbols, including history, origins, functions, and uses ● Treatment for intensifying flow of Reiki ● Treatment for psychological (mental-emotional) conditions ● Treatment for healing bad habits ● Absentee treatment ● Techniques for empowering goals and affirmations ● More Japanese Reiki Techniques ● Space clearing ● Treatment styles and protocols ● Additional techniques for healing and self-development Students receive: ● Comprehensive manual (Foundations of Reiki Ryoho, Healing Arts Press, 2018) ● Supplemental handouts ● Instruction in the Japanese Reiki Techniques ● Initiation (attunement) ● Hands-on practice time for self-care, one-on-one sessions, and group Reiki ● Certificate of completion ● Ongoing support from Nicholas
