Vanessa started her path of personal healing over 20 years ago. Along the way she learned metaphysical practices and a few forms of healing from different walks of life. Traditional Usui Reiki was one of these methods that felt right. She obtained her Reiki 1 & 2 in early 2020 through Dr. David Pilz who is in the direct student line of Dr. Mikao Usui from Japan who taught Chiyiro Hayashi. The line continues to Mrs. Hawayo Takata. Mrs. Takata brought Reiki to North America. The line continues with Phyllis Lei Furumoto, Anne McAffrey, Marlene Moore, Dr. David Pilz, Vanessa Mountain.

Vanessa earned her Master/instructor certification shortly after receiving Reiki 1 & 2. Silver Moon Wellness was borne in June 2021. Vanessa is a member of the International Reiki Training Association and a member of the Canadian Reiki Association.
